Dauzat ("Noms et Prenoms") lists two names that would be spelt like this in English, but would be written and pronounced differently in French.
Lague with two dots (umlaut?) over the U. This would be pronounced La-gue (I think); It is the Gascon form of lagune, i.e. lagoon, or big lake, so locative.
Lague with an acute accent over the E. Pronounced La-gay; the name of a hamlet in Southern France (Lot-et-Garonne).
