If it is Irish, the spelling is odd ...could be a form of Flynn, which means "ruddy" ...It can be written Floinn or Fhloinn ...I didn't see anything in my Modern Irish language book that looked like it was related ...

I don't have any resources for Native American ...though, it doesn't appear to my eyes to look Native American ...
