Aveling and Battenburg
Aveling, while this could stem from avis meaning bird, is there a Germanic route meaning ancestor?Battenburg, first element?

Aveling might be a variant of Abeling which is from Ebeling which means "from Ebel's farm" or "son of Ebel" where Ebel is from either Adalbert/Albert or Eberhard.Battenburg comes from Batenburg, a place in the Netherlands.

Not sure on the first one, but I'd guess that Batten- might mean "boat" ...
