I'm making a wild guess and say that it might mean 'little crap', as in 'you little crap!' or 'you little shit!' Something like that, I think, but I might be wrong.

Unlikely as the word crap only came in with Crapper's invention of the toilet. this was around 1850ish and surnames generally come from pre 1500.
