Cheers Andy, I am not to aquainted for Friscian, which i believe Ubbo/Ubbi came from, how do they relate to the German possiblities you list? Were this two languages close in their form?

Without giving too many details, we can say, that the Fresian languge is closely related to other Germanic languages, such Old English or Old Saxon. These are comprehended as North Sea Teutons (Nordseegermanen), but the Fresians were in close touch with other Germanic tribes that spoke early Dutch or Low German. So there are a lot of similarities and you will find similar forms of names on both sides.Andy ;—)
