This isn't specifically surname-related, but I was just wondering ...
what is it with people's obsession with Ireland and having an Irish surname? I've never understood the facination. And it niggles me when people say they're totally 100% Irish or whatever, when the Irish are just as Anglo-Saxon as the rest of the UK.
