i would like to know the meaning of my surname and if possible where it generated from the word Temporal is in the dictionary
my dad's grandfather changed his surname from Oscar to Temporal many years ago but we never did find out why.
can anyone help with locating any history of my surname.

I think you've summed up the complete history of 'Temporal'. But it is interesting that the name Oscar was all but unknown before 1760, when the Ossian Poems were published. So it is all but certain that your ancestors changed their surname twice in just over a century.

Temporal is a Catalan surname, it means 'tempest, thunderstorm'.
