My great grandmother's surname was Cedellus. Where does it come from. The only thing I know is that it used to begin w/an S. Thanks.

I googled it and it seem to come in with a lot of Finnish names as well as other pages with seemingly Slavic languages ...can you provide more info ...

I never heard anything about Finland. All I know is the name was Margaret Cedellus married named Box. My great grandfather Hampton Box was full Cherokee indian.I have heard her father was part Slavic. They look more Slav than Finnish. Thanks if you find anything else let me know Now I have a start
