Perès an Peresse comes from from a regional variant of "Pierre", Peter. See the French Site www.jtosti.com/noms.

If it comes from France it could be Peresse. A surname like thi is beared in North western France: in Brittany (Bretagne).

PeressCould be a variant of the Sephardic Jewish name Peres, now found around the world as Perez. The key would be to find out when name first appeared in France.
