origin & meaning of Ensley
All I know is that They 1st appeared in Devonshire. Anglo Saxon origin and that they were in England.

It's from English Ansley, from the name of the village of ANNESLEY, named for a Celtic chieftain named "Anna" who owned a meadow ("lea" in old English); thus, "Anna's- lea". See http://webpages.charter.net/bansley/
