I am a reader of Roger Zelazny books but have gotten into an little argument with a couple of friends of mine over the pronunciation. Which is correct?

Zeh-LAZ-nee

Zeh-LAY-nee

Zeh-LAWZ-nee

Zelasny is a Polish family name (approx. translated as Iron-man).

The Polish pronunciation is zhe-LAZ-nee, where zh- stands for the voiced -sh- sound which is also heard in words like pleaSure or meaSure.

In Polish spelling, there is a dot over the initial Z.
