Holly is Old English, & it is derived from the name of the holly tree. It is suitable for a child born around Christmas.
Ann is Hebrew & it means gracious.
Coats is English. It designated a man who planted only five or ten acres & occupied a small cottage. The name also described a person who moved from Coates to Cotes, (which were cottages or shelter for animals).
