Harrah, Hollrah, Lebedun, Lipsitz, Passwater, & Zilbershlag look like they would be English, German, or Jewish.

Can anybody tell me the origins & meanings of these names ?

Lipsitz is German. It means "one who came from Lipsitz" a city in Germany.

I had a friend named D. Croquart, and he told me it is a French name. I do know that the "quart" means "four" in French.
