Does anyone know the origin of Angolin? It was my great grandmother's maiden name. Thank you.

I found a single reference to a village called Angolin in France on http://www.cronab.demon.co.uk/C1.HTM The problem with place names is that some are derived from surnames instead of the other way around. Still, I'd say it's French.

If it was ANGIOLIN, it could be an Italian surname from the area of VENICE.
