I came across these names in the phone book one day. Does anybody know the origins & meanings of these names ? Banthrongsack, Bhattacharya, & Kozhikal look like they would be Hindu. Danneskjold looks like it would be Danish, Dutch, Finnish, Swedish, or Norwegian.
What are the origins & meanings of these names ?

The meaning of Bhattacharya

Bhattacharya means illustrious teacher.

Banthrongsack (or Bangthrongsack) is Thai. Bhattacharya is Sanskrit for 'illustrious teacher' and Danneskjold is Danish. Skjold means shield.
