I'm looking into my mothers names. Sutryk. and her birth name, Hotelli. I believe it's spelled that way, although it could be with an A. I can't really search down anything on either name.

Sutryk is Polish, and that's all I know about it.
I thought Hotelli looked Albanian, but I can't find a reference to the name in any language. I think you are right about misreading it. I assume your source is handwritten. Changing the H to A doesn't help.
