I'm half German, and I don't think Vogt its very German. I have never heard this name before, never knew it existsed so I might be wrong. Vogt, if German would be pronounced Foh-gt. Umm... I can't really explain... It reminds me of the German word for bird - Vogel. Don't ask why.
