I think it might be Basque and formerly Sartuche. Zartuche and Sartuche are found today in Mexico, and in that part of the USA that was once Mexican. Spanish sources don't recognise the name, but I've found a reference to an ETA (i.e., Basque)militant named Sartuche. Also the family search website records the baptism in Bilbao of the son of one Juan de Sartuche. Although it's not conclusive evidence that "de" suggests that Sartuche is a place name, perhaps a farm.
