What does the surname Mora mean? I don't know anything about it. I was wondering. Does it mean the same thing as Morra? Is it a variant of Moore? I really have no clue. Any help is appreciated.

It is a spanish surname. But it is spread also in Italy, especially in Northern Italy and in Sicily.
In Spain it could come mostly from a place names. In Itly from an old first name or just a nickname referred to a person dark-haired or having a dark complexion. It is a variant of "Mori".

It is spanish. And there are some place names called Mora. But the accepted etymology is that it comes from mora which in spanish means mulberry or blackberry.
