I am looking for information on the meaning and history of the norwegin name: Nordric. I have no idea of where to even start looking other than online. I have been to several websites, even did a google search and nothing came up. I'm totally at a loss as to where I can get information on this name. Any help is very much appriciated.

Are you sure that this is a Norwegian surname? The surnames databank of the Norwegian Bureau of Statistics replied to my query with the answer that there are three perasons or less of this name in Norway. "Three persons or less" usually means none. If you ask how many people in Norway are called Rumplestiltskin it will answer three or less.
I'm not sure that this is a surname at all, though it's always asking for trouble making such a sweeping statement about surnames. That could explain why you (and I) can't find any information.

I found only one reference to the name of Nordric and that was in the Ellis Island passenger lists. The person with the last name Nordric came from Norway, so I assumed that might be it's origin. Now, I did find the name as a first name in an online baby name book, that it stated the name was Anglo-Saxon, but I have seen many articles that say not to put to much stock in it. Any ideas of where to look?

Ha! Ellis Island, home of garbled names. There is a Norwegian surname, Nordrik, with 23 bearers according to the same database. As the first component, nord, means "north" it looks like a place name, but I haven't found a place called Nordrik. Rik means "rich", but "north-rich" doesn't make much sense. There is a forum where you can post queries about Norden names -
