ArchivesOrigin and meaning
I'm not sure if Albrecht is originally German or Austrian. I would also like to know what part of Germany or Austria it came from. I would also like to know what it means.

Albrecht is from the Germanic name Adalberht (< adal 'noble' and berht 'bright'), thus predating the founding of any European country by many centuries.
