Re: Origin of surname "Narro"
in reply to a message by Narro
Narro is the 42,710th most popular last name (surname) in the United States; frequency is 0.000%; percentile is 84.641. It appears that "Narro" may mean "Narrator", from the Spanish "Narrando", which originated from the Latin "Narro", to narrate, or speak. "Narro" also has meaning in other languages, for example, Sanskrit, "to relate or tell". Not very dissimilar, overall. However, being that both Spanish and Italian are romance languages it is possible that the name has its roots in Italy. From what I can tell, however, it is a Hispanic surname.
