I've been trying to trace my family history, but I can't seem to find where the last name Widmier came from. I thought it was German, but not sure. Thanks for your help.
Widmier is an alteration of German Widmeier which is composed of Middle High German widem 'farm belonging to a parish church' and meier 'tenant farmer'.
