I have questions about the origins and meanings of three surnames I've come across:
1. Beyonce - Supposedly this is French Creole and derives from Beyince.
2. Raiden - I thought I read that this was a Germanic surname, but I'm not sure.
3. Zaiden - I think this might be a Yiddish surname. I've also come across Zaidenberg.

Zaiden is derived from Yiddish zaide 'grandfather', a name that was given as a charm for long life.
There is every indication that Raiden is one of the many alterations of Rearden/Reardon as you can see at http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~rardin/Marriage%20Records.htm. For example, the same Abigail Tarbox married James Raiden and James Rearden as shown at http://awt.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?surname=tarbox&given=abigail&start=61. I have no idea what the etymology of Beyincé might be.
