a question about the surname trang
hey everyone,
it's me again. i was hoping someone could tell me the chinese word for page. and if the surname trang can also be use as a chinese surname too.

Trang is the Vietnamization of 莊/庄 zhuang/chuang from Chinese, which means "villa". It doesn't mean Page. "Page" doesn't exist as a surname. If it does, then it's a rare one. Chuang/ Zhuang in Chinese romanization = 張/张. zhang / chang means "sheet" as in "sheet" of paper. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_common_Chinese_surnames. Even thought it's title is "List of common Chinese ssurnames", it's also includes equivalents in Japanese, Korean, & Vietnamese, plus romanizations according to each language. It lists the Traditional character, Simplified character, several Chinese romanizations according to dialect, then romanizations and writings in Japanese, Korean, & Vietnamese.
