Kemp is my boyfriend's last name and I think it's British, but I'm not sure. I just wanted to know what it meant. Thanks!

It is British in fact, it means "warrior". It comes mainly from East ANGLIA. There are kemp also in Scotland.

Hi Megan,

Kemp is a German surname. Middle Low German "kempe" = fighter
