Archiveswondering about my surname
my last name is Converse, like the sneaker, all i know about my dads ancestory is that he's german and polish. meaning, orgin and anything else would be very helpful. thanks inadvance.

The surname Converse is English as you'll see at http://www.ancestry.com/facts/Converse-family-history.ashx. If your ancestry is German and/or Polish, then the original name must have been altered and only genealogy will give you the right origin.

There is a Polish surname, Konwerski. I Don't know what it meams.
