My maiden name is LEGGOTT, english I believe and my mothers maiden name was GUMMOW, from Cornwall I'm told. Any info on these 2 names would be appreciated.

Leggott has the same origin as Leggett which you'll find at http://www.ancestry.com/facts/Leggett-family-history.ashx. You'll find the origin of Gummow at http://www.surnamedb.com/surname.aspx?name=Gummow
