the name concerned is Fillister/ Fillisters

The handful of notices on www.familysearch.org point to a Norfolk England location. However this may refer to a single family. The name is extremely rare, if it survives at all in England.

on Norfolk dialect terms lists the word fillister as a local name for a carpenter's tool for cutting grooves.
Not much solid information here I know, but as I always say, you have to start somewhere.
