I was wondering though: a place name like Èaèiæ seems to derive from a Slavic surname rather than the opposite thing (the surname deriving from tha place name). I noticed that in former Yugoslavia there's a number of places deriving their names from surnames - I think they call them 'praedial place names', but I'm not sure..
If that's the case of Èaèiæ, I think its origin is to be searched for in a Slavic root like èaèa or èaèo + suffix -ic, though I got no clue of what such a root means. Is it maybe a short form for some given name? Something like Saša, short for Aleksandar (Alexander in English)?

Although you can never be sure about these things, I'd say there are just too many places named Čačić or Čačiće or Čačići for them to be derived from surnames. Therefore, I think you'd probably have a better chance of finding the solution in toponymy rather than anthroponymy.
