Hyphenated surnames
Is there any particular order when two last names are hyphenated? Like if a woman's maiden name is Jones and she wants to join it with her husband's surname, which order would they go? Jones-Smyth or Smyth-Jones? Or is it more of a personal choice?

Mulder: No, I was just never sure your little feet could reach the pedals.

True that it's personal choice, but I believe that it's much more common for the maiden name to come first, so she would be more likely to have Jones-Smyth than Smyth-Jones. I'm pretty sure that formation is much more common. But of course if you're considering it personally, it can go whichever way you like.
Personal choice!
