My grandfather (Ross Navarro)Born 1902 lived in Gruene, Texas, near New Braunfels as a boy & as a young man changed his name from Urdiales (Father's name) to Navarro (Mother's name, Julia Navarro). I don't know the reason for the change. The older generation that is still living is tight lipped about why he did this. In fact my grand Uncle named Don Urdiales who was my grandfather's cousin said he would take that information to the grave. He did just that. I was told that originally the name Urdiales & Navarro come from Spain via the canary islands,to North America/Mexico. I'd like to know where I can get birth & death recods to verify this information. Any help will be welcomed. Thanks
