Re: surname root

This is an italian surname or a wrong spelling of AGRIPPINO, an Italian surname coming from an old latin first name "Agrippinus".
There is also a feminin form Agrippina.
These names in Roman times were given to boys and girls who were born in the wrong way, with their feet not the head
"Agr-" means first and "pes" foot.
At the moment the surname Agrippino is absolutely rare in Italy. It is present only in Southern Italy: CAMPANIA, PUGLIA and CALABRIA.
