MEANING
I'M TOLD THIS IS A GERMAN DERIVATIVE OF HURDENBACHER. I'M NOT EVEN SURE IS IS GERMAN. I'M LOOKING FOR TRANSLATION OF THE NAME OR ITS COMPONENTS.

Agreed on Hurd as an English surname. But it may be that Hurdbacher has been shortened to Hurd in the English-speaking world. Hurdbacher looks like it's from a place name, Hurdbach, whose last component means "stream". I haven't found a plce of that name, and I'm not sure that the surname is extant in Germany. Perhaps the spelling has been altered.
