the meaning of Surname BALLA
This surname quite important in the States.
Such a situation is a result I think of a Hungarian immigration,
Or even of a Spanish and South american immigration.
The Balla coming from Italy are rare because in Italy this surname is regional. Its meaning comes from a nickname derived from "ballare":
a person who loved dancing.
The spanish Balla could be,according to Gutierre TIBON, an hypochoristic of the feminin first name EULALIA.
But what is the meaning of the hungarian surname "Balla"?
Is this name coming from "bal" that means "left".

I am wondering that somebody could explain me the meaning: I don't know hungarian at all.

Thank you.
