Thispen is a name I've come across a few times-- does anyone know what it means, and where it's from? Is it an alternate spelling of Thigpen? Thanks for your time.

It certainly seems to be a very rare variant of Thigpen as you can see at http://tr.im/ArjR. The online phone directory 411.com lists only two Thispens in the US.
