Ayala as a surname
Ayala is a female Hebrew given name meaning gazelle, but it's also a Spanish surname which appears also in Southern Italy, as a result of Spanish domination.
Is there any relation between Ayala as a Hebrew given name and Ayala as a Spanish/Southern Italian surname?

Actually, ayala means 'doe' in Hebrew as you can see at http://tr.im/Brdo. Spanish Ayala comes from a place so named in the Basque Country. There is no possible connection between the two.
