Dremel by Isis |
Middle High German 'dremel /tremel' means 'stick, club, beam, bolt'. It is considered the origin of the surnames Tremel, Treml, Tremmel. I think it may also be that of Dremel. The meaning should be taken as reflecting the person's physiology (large, not 'skinny') or character.
