I don't know the etymology of Bielut but there are people who bear that name in Poland as you can see at http://www.moikrewni.pl/mapa/kompletny/bielut.html

Bielut - extremely rare
Bierut - uncommon, but not as rare as Bielut
there's a number of Polish surnames beginning with Biel-, some with a normal L some with a barred L. This probably represents the Polish word for "white".
