I know my last name sounds strange, I was woundering if anyone knows what country a name like that could come from, I live in Australia now but it sound's I think it came from Poland (I think) could someone please tell waht it could be, please

I'm pretty sure your name is Greek actually.

I think it is related to the Medieval Latin 'papalis', (which I'm sure is derived from an ancient Greek word) meaning "papal".

Papal means "of the pope or Roman Catholic Church".
