In the Dictionary of surname by Basil COTTLE I have found the surname Glyn. It is considered keltic. Its meaning 'valley, glen'.
I presume it is the same as Mcglyn.

This guy is probably right. Glynn is just a variant of Glen, which means a valley/area/etc.
It's actually very numerous in Ireland. It's found in the Donnegal-Tyrone-Monaghan region, the Sligo-Roscommon-Galway region as well as the midlands. In Irish, it is Mag Fhloinn from the first name Flann meaning ruddy. It is thought to originate in the Athlone area.
