My great-grandmother's last name was Cutteback, and she said that it was originally Caudbec (not sure about spelling) and that we were descended from French Huguenots. Does anyone know what it means and the origins of the name?

Cutteback is a variant of Cuddeback which is an alteration of Caudebec, a placename in Seine-Maritime. You can situate the three Caudebecs at http://classic.mapquest.com/.
