My Great Grandparents immigrated from Poland. It is belived to be from the surrounding area of the city Rezlow in 1912. Could you tell me anything about the origin of the surname Golema?

Interesting. I think it derives from Proto-Slavic word golěmъ.

Perhaps the surname Golema originated from Polish "golab" meaning "dove". There are also Golema bearers from Lublin and Kepno. Similar surnames include Golemo, Golemba, Golembiewski, perhaps they too originated from Polish "golab".
