Wolford?
Any Wolford's around here? I am married to a Mullen, but by blood I am always a Wolford. My great great great grandparents changed it from Wolfert when coming off the boat so any of those too?Mommy to 2 beautiful girls!

Actually, the name was originally Wolfhardt as you can see at tinyurl.com/klz3p6f and tinyurl.com/m9uq597.

There are two links there and they both work fine for me. They both indicate that Wolford and Wolfert come from Wolfhardt but since Wolfert is also a common German surname, we could be dealing with ancestors that are different from yours.

That may be the original way, but when my fathers great great grand parents arrived to the united states their last name was Wolfert and changed it to Wolford.
