Mormon
This relates to a gentleman known as known as Frederick Mormon
He was of the Mormon faith, it seems the parents adopted the name, after the religion.
One source says that "Mormon" is taken from the English More and the Egyptian Moon,
but this seems to make sense?
Is the name "Invented"?
Any thoughts welcome?

Thanks for the thought Marc
But this an adoption of the cult name
The parents change their name from Windsor after joining the cult
So searching the origin of the cult name, which I believe has something to do with the name of an angel?

The surname and the cult have completely different origins. The former is an alteration of Moorman whose origin you'll find at http://www.ancestry.com/name-origin?surname=moorman. For the latter, see tinyurl.com/mad3xue.
