family crest
Looking for the meaning and family crest for Kallweit. I believe it's German.

Kallweit is a German name but it comes from Lithuanian kalvis 'blacksmith'. You can apparently buy a family crest at tinyurl.com/nunmbaf but it's probably not authentic. There's probably no such thing for most names.
"... probably not authentic."
I agree. If there was a Kallweit coat of arms (the crest is something different)it would have a good chance of being recorded in Rietstap's "Armorial ...", a French work. Here is the relevant page -

No Kallweit, or Kalvis for that matter.
