Ogdon?
I know my name comes from the Old Germanic words - ac and denu, meaning oak and den - creating the name Ogdon. There are a lot of variations from it, such as Oakden, Ogden, Ogdenu. I'v tried many times to find out more about the name, but all the websites and specialists I've visited and asked - this is all the information they can give me.
So, anyone know anything more about it?

Ogdon is a variant of Ogden, a placename in West Yorkshire as you can see at tinyurl.com/ngynzua. The placename comes from Old English ac and denu, as you state, but it means 'oak valley'. You can see the distribution of Ogdon in the US and England at tinyurl.com/nz9obx4.
