Hi there,

does anybody happen to know any information about the Russian surname Zolotarev?
I found that Zolotov, means "gold," but I have no idea if they are connected at all...

Zolotarev is probably from Zolotarëv (Золотарёв), the name of two places in Russia.

I'm sure this surname identifies a descendant of a goldsmith (Zolotar).
