Hi. Hope you all can help. I met someone on a dating site from northern Thailand and am trying to determine if this person is real. Can you tell me if the name Ariss is a genuine Thai name, common or not? Thx in advance.

It is originally from Staffordshire, but that's in England. So, maybe, but he/she/they could be an immigrant.

I am not Thai so I don't know if that is a genuine name, but I do know that in Thailand one surname is chosen for every family, thus the only people who share a surname are people who are related. So it's impossible for a Thai surname to be common.
