In a Danish census for Copenhagen in February 1860 I have found a lodger with some ancestors with flwg. data:
Name: Steney Asendyv 34 [years] Widow [Born in] Africa [Occupation] Will be shown in public places [Religion] Has none
Is there any way to find out abt. her African origins? She may have come to Copenhagen via The Danish West Indian Islands; probably crossing the Atlantic westbound as a slave.
I don’t even know, if they got her name right in the census.
